Why do they use American actresses in British movies? Like Miss Potter or Bridget Jones' Diary? Don't we have enough British actresses, or in the case of Bridget Jones, plump ones? |
| Same reason we're constantly subjected to Sir Ben Kingsley's awful American accent in U.S. films, I guess. |

Overview:
With about 365 milliion followers -- 6% of the world's population -- Buddhism is the fourth largest religion in the world. It is exceeded in numbers only by Christianity, Islam and Hinduism. Buddhism was founded in Northern India by the first known Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama. In the sixth century BCE, he attained enlightenment and assumed the title Lord Buddha (one who has awakened)
Buddhism later died out in India, but had become established in Sri Lanka. From there, it expanded across Asia, evolving into two or three main forms:
bullet Theravada Buddhism (sometimes called Southern Buddhism; occasionally spelled Therevada) "has been the dominant school of Buddhism in most of Southeast Asia since the thirteenth century, with the establishment of the monarchies in Thailand, Burma, Cambodia and Laos."
bullet Mahayana Buddhism (sometimes called Northern Buddhism) is largely found in China, Japan, Korea, Tibet and Mongolia.
bullet Vajrayāna Buddhism (a.k.a. Tantric Buddhism, Mantrayana, Tantrayana, Esoteric Buddhism, or True Words Sect). Some consider this to be a part of Mahayana Buddhism; others view it as a third Buddhist path.
To these might be added:
bullet Tibetan Buddhism. This developed largely in isolation from Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism because of the remoteness of Tibet.
bullet Zen Buddhism. This developed from within the Chinese Mahayana school known as Chan. Zen Buddhism is becoming increasingly popular in the West.
Since the late 19th century:
bullet Modern Buddhism has emerged as a truly international movement. It started as an attempt to produce a single form of Buddhism, without local accretions, that all Buddhists could embrace.

Why is there not a female director out there creating movie's for women? Women are exploited every day in movies and commercials why not role reversal? i.e.Hot guys dancing around a vegas pool and chasing older women plump and thin. Maybe an action movie were men are shaking there *** on stage and dancing on a strippers pole. I have lots of creative ideas!!!!! |
| There are women director's out there: Nora Ephron did "Julia and Julie", but I will agree they are not out there in huge numbers |

Do two feminine lesbians only exist in the movies? Why do I keep seeing a female in male gender roles claiming to be feminist and female and lesbian?
I'm just curious.
I wear dresses, skirts, and makeup. Does that mean I could never be with another pretty feminine girl? I also have dark hair and ONLY like blondes or Maybe, I might like shorter girls or even plump, as that would be different from my slender frame. But I'm pretty strict about the blonde thing. I don't know why. It's not on purpose! Brunettes look too much like ME (in the mirror) or my sister, and it creeps me out beyond words. I feel very sinful and dirty then. But somehow, blondes are just,,... deliciously sinful lusty...
I'm bisexual , please don't' hate me for that too. Guys have treated me very poorly in the past (including my own father)... I guess I would be the typical guy hating (almost) lesbian. not so fond of men.
Lesbians do not like bisexuals???
I'm not 100% against the "butch" look, but I rather enjoy the male/female gender roles. Is that so awful? I'd probably need someone more aggressive than me to draw me out of my shy lesbian virgin shell!!! Are feminine lesbians ever aggressive???
Please tell me! I'd like some help please!!! |
| I'm pretty "femme" and so was my last girlfriend. She was also bi. So...I'm pretty much disagreeing with your whole message :P |
Is it a good idea for Angelina Jolie? She wants to play Marilyn Monroe in a new movie.I don't think this is a good idea.Plump and foolish Marilyn has nothing in common with Angelina |
I agree
1. She's got dark hair
2. She's slightly tanned
3. She just wouldn't be suited to the part
And she's plastic. Marilyn Monroe was NOT plastic. So there. |
